2x upscaling

2x doubles both the width and height of the video.

For example:

1920 × 1080 → 3840 × 2160

That means a 1080p source may potentially be upscaled toward 4K when the selected processing option supports that output.

4x upscaling

4x quadruples both dimensions.

This creates a much larger output and requires substantially more processing.

The final supported resolution depends on the source file, selected settings and model limits.

More resolution is not automatically better. If 2x already reaches the resolution you need, it may be the more efficient choice.

Can You Upscale Video to 4K?

In some cases, yes.

For example, a 1920 × 1080 video upscaled by 2x results in 3840 × 2160, which corresponds to UHD 4K resolution.
